hello sailor- full report

već duže vrijeme razmišljali smo o tome da organiziramo street art druženje u rijeci. uz pomoć grada i udruga umki i rioc uspjeli smo dobiti sredstva i dozvolu za crtanje i to na najboljoj mogućoj lokaciji u gradu- u kružnoj ulici kraj kluba palach! časnom pozivu odazvali su se Arka kub, Auks, Kitamrk, Lele iz Belog sladoleda, Oh-Uh, Sretan bor, Tvojanedelja, pekmezmed i Ninja Tiger. dani su bili vrući a i mi smo bili vrući :D bacili smo se na zidove i sljepi dio kružne ulice pretvorili u prvu street art oazu u rijeci pod nazivom "hello sailor!"
fotki ima previše (hvala Auks, Kitamrk i pekmezmed) pa smo teškom mukom odabrali par random fotki da vam dočaramo hot street event kojem smo bili domaćini...

dragi naši evo nas natrag nakon male stanke sa par dobrih vijesti!

1. postovi su od sad na hrvatskom jeziku. jeeee.

2. rijekastreetzine sudjelovao je na prvoj riječkoj pecha-kucha večeri za pomoć haitiu gdje smo sve dosadašnje projekte predstavili oduševljenoj publici!

3. napokon se vraćamo nakon pospremanja našeg studija pa zovemo sve "odsutne" članove da nam se jave radi novih projekata koje ćemo uskoro i staviti na blog da se i vi veselite :D

4. svim budućim članovima zainteresiranima za sudjelovanje u našem uličnom fanzinu želimo dobrodošlicu sa veselim vijestima o novoj lokaciji street fanzina u kružnoj ulici (kraj palacha) gdje smo od dobrih ljudi iz udruge industria dobili zidove na korištenje!

Last weekend our friend Lele invited us to come to Postojna to celebrate his birthday and opening of Postojna's skate park!
We had a great time so we decided to put up some photos of the atmosphere at postojna boldrider's new home :)

MOTOVUN- why so serious- FULL REPORT

Our friend PUMA34 invited us to come to Motovun film festival where he had his book promotion and exhibition. So here is the story and some lovely pics from the trip...

When we started the trip to Motovun we met 2 handsome boys form Slovenia, Lele and Tada, who turnd out are not only good looking and smart but can allso draw some neat stuf, skate and build sweet skate parks!

The next day it was time to make a proper opening of a great exhibition/ book promotion, so the guys put on their best clothes...

..and were on their best behavior

puma was so generous that he reserved a room in the gallery just for us (Ivana Armanini, Oko, Puma, Lele, Tada, Sergej, Lunar, Ninjatigar and pekmezmed) to draw in. So we filled the room to show our grattitude!

the next day was kinda blurry (no photos except this one) so we went to the pool and spa at motovun hotel to relax..

after 4 days of fun it was time to head back to rijeka (just a few pics actually came out from our official action sampler tour camera- 5 films were destroyed due to the fact that we- cheep asses decided to buy the film at the flea market) enjoy.

finaly we went our separate ways except emir and jasmina who actually stayed on the motovun film festival to see some movies... weirdos.

our friends from zagreb came to visit us again and made us vandalize this beautiful part of hartera (former paper factory in rijeka)

:D we were more than happy to do it! together we made some posters and took some paint wit us to bring this place back from the dead!

yesterday we were happy to host a drawing PartY in rijeka where we invited artists form croatia, bosnia and hercegovina and serbia to draw on the walls of club filter. we had a great time so be sure to stop by club filter if you are in rijeka and check out some amazing artwork that our friends made!

we hope to have more events like this one.. 'till then- thanks to everyone who participated and to all of you who came to support us! PartY on!

street frames- finally outside!

we finally had some good weather this week so we went out to find a nice place to put up the framed drawings that we made with our friends from zagreb.

we found a perfect spot on the bridge over river rječina - to be precise- the fence of the bridge- which has a sort of a gallery look cause of the lights installed in the fence :)

after we tied the frames to the fence we staked out to see if anyone would even look at our beloved frames...kitamrk and ninjatiger were worried that no one would like them but:

a few seconds later the first spectator fell in love and begged kitamrk to take his photo with this amazing works of art

...now who could say no to such a request? :)

STREET FRAMES zagreb-rijeka

last weekend we went to visit our friends from zagrebstreetzine .
our friend puma provided us with some hidden treasure that he was saving for a special occasion- blank picture frames! The idea was to draw together and once they were done- put them up on city streets for everyone to enjoy!

these are just some pieces that we did (puma, oko, ninjatiger and pekmezmed) - the rest of the frames are in zagreb as they were made by the whole zagrebstreetzine crew which is larger then our rijeka crew... because of that fact we were given a choice- leave the frames in zagreb so they can put them up in their town or face some serious ass kicking! ;)

good people that they are- puma and oko gave as a couple of frames in the end and even sent us home with some blank frames that we finished together with our friends from rijeka!

awaiting better weather when they will be exhibited on the streets of rijeka we put a guard dog to watch over our prescious street frames!

it was a long walk to t0kiv0ki's exhibition so kitamrk, ninjatiger and pekmezmed decided to put up some stickers to make the time fly by faster...

when we arrived our minds were blown by the amazing show that our friend was preparing for days in complete secrecy! congrats again t0kiv0ki!!!

22.3.2009. a cold day in the beautiful city- a perfect day to give birth to a monster RIJEKASTREETZINE!

our friends from ZAGREBSTREETZINE visited us and became the godfathers of our new blog that will hopefully incourage people in rijeka to hit the streets with their drawings and stickers!

for the time being it's up to us to save the day!

ninjatiger, oko, puma34, tokivoki and pekmezmed made a bunch of new drawings, paintings, stickers and linocuts and had a few drinks to make it all flow better

after we escorted our friends home we decided to made sure things don't go the wrong way with our new project!
